Situation:

  • New CEO had recently been appointed to turnaround the business. CEO had developed a plan to stabilize the business and the Board was looking to develop a more innovative approach to growing the business in the face of a tough retail environment.

Engagement:

  • Used the concept of war games to facilitate the management team through a 2 day offsite to develop plans to compete more effectively against Amazon and traditional retailers.

Results:

  • The output of the offsite was prioritized and turned into an 18-month action plan, providing the client with a roadmap to execute gains.
